The 18G OPSL tarm laser projector is a green Coherent Taipan OPSL solution with analog color modulation and a guaranteed output power of 18,000 mW after optics. The 18G OPSL tarm units have a built-in network DAC for Showcontroller and Showeditor, but can also be controlled by any ILDA laser control software such as Pangolin Quickshow, Pangolin Beyond, LSX, Lasergraph DSP, etc. via external ILDA interface (e.g. FB3). They also have built-in memory with preset patterns, which can be easily triggered via DMX, in automatic mode.
The Tarm 18G OPSL comes with an integrated ShowNET network interface and free laser show software (Showeditor). Showcontroller software is also supported and can be purchased additionally. The integrated ShowNET allows direct input via ILDA and LAN. Besides DMX, it is possible to trigger single frames via ArtNet. Custom frames and shows can be played from an integrated SD card (supplied) - even in stand-alone mode! Two different DMX modes are available:
- DJ Mode with the most used features for beginners. Only a few DMX channels are used for a quick and easy access to the most important adjustments directly at the laser system
- Professional Mode with all DMX features especially for users with a DMX console. All adjustments can be triggered and allow for full control of the professional laser show
The integrated ShowNET works as a DAC and allows for ILDA streaming.
The maximum scan rate is very high, 45 kpps @ 8° ILDA for graphic projection, with a maximum scan angle of 50°; upgrades to CT scanners with > 60 kpps @ 8° ILDA, Turboscan LAS driver and up to 70° deflection angle are available upon request. These specifications certainly make the units perfectly suited to professional applications and ideal for graphic projections.
The 18G OPSL tarm has very good beam specifications with a diameter of approx. 4.5 mm and a divergence of only 0.6 mrad (full angle). It is equipped with a Coherent Taipan green OPSL module (20,000 mW / 530 nm). Other OPSL configurations are available upon request. The integrated network switch allows you to connect the control signal.
The housing of the 18G OPSL tarm is built in a very robust and dust-proof way, so there is no air circulation inside. This minimizes maintenance. The mounting bracket allows you to hang and upright the laser.
Ultimately, the 18G OPSL tarm is especially suited for demanding laser show applications and graphic projections in multimedia projects, installations, festivals and large stages. It is also suitable for sky laser and landmark laser projections.
